ZENITH FOUNDATION (the "band")
"We make music too!" or "Everybody and their mom plays guitar".
One man band of Scott Kiernan, whom after heading the 5 CENT SOULRECORDING CO. through his high school years with cohorts Chris Kunkel, Marisa Montemorano, and Dan Smith has returned from an experiment in futility which left him sweetly bittersweet. All songs are basement 8-track analog orchestrations. The overdub and tape loop is king. Hiss is his friend, whom he constantly keeps at bay with sly come-ons and dirty tricks. This music is what it is, an artsy hodgepodge of almostpop.

Before there was the ZENITH FOUNDATION, there was the 5CENT SOUL* RECORDING COLLECTIVE. Based in the wilds of suburban New Jersey, this band of teenage misfits owned the scene that no one gave a shit about. But their legacy of "Clinton-era psychedelia" (a sub-genre which has gone woefully unexamined in most Cultural Studies courses) can be relived rehashed and...yeah...here's some of the CD's we can offer you from the archives. Our forces will reunite in full force anyday now, just gotta finish that pesky West Coast education....Then we shall reunite in NYC in one year's time and the apocalyptic Star Wormwood shall strike and the 3rd Trumpet will sound the song of the Art-Rock Mothers in the Church of the Master and!....and!....um oh forget it...
